While we're not new to this as writers, we're certainly new to running this sort of blog, so any and all feedback is massively appreciated. We're so glad you like what you see - if there's any way you could help spreading the word, that would be brilliant, and we hope to see you around! :-)

Re: How N4G changed the games media forever

This is my first read on this site and after reading this, I am definitely interested in seeing what other thoughts will be shared in the future. I do think the writing is great, so kudos for that! However, I think the article itself dances on a fine line and I almost feel a need to deconstruct it.

I probably shouldn't drop a bomb and then run away, but I think I'll hold back for now on offering more feedback. This piece has actually just given me more motivation to follow through on something that's been brewing in my head. Though they're just thoughts at this point, I didn't really consider doing a write-up on it until now. If I end up following through on it, I'll be sure to give thanks.

Anyway, I look forward to seeing more from this site! :)

Re: How N4G changed the games media forever

George: Thanks for your feedback. We're very much still in the testing phase at the moment, and today's our first trickle of 'going public'. You're absolutely correct about the text: it has been adjusted.

Re: How N4G changed the games media forever

You're right, anybody can start a website and write their thoughts. But N4G shouldn't be credited with any of this. It's derivative of Digg, Reddit, Stumble Upon, etc. N4G is nothing but a slave mine for people that are trying to squeak out extra cash from google ads making pennies per thousand page views. The traffic that comes from N4G to a website is marginal at best, and when compared to other, better sharing sites it's nearly criminal. Your content and copy is being stolen, put on N4G, and in many cases being indexed by Google or other search engines as original content from N4G.

This article isn't very well thought out, I'm sorry. Also, if you plan on sharing your thoughts with the world in such a manner, the least you could do is style the page in readable fashion.

Protip:

font-style:normal
line-height: 22px;

Re: How N4G changed the games media forever

testing, testing. 1,2,3....
